SPYS kicked off 2012 with an information meeting presenting voluntary experiences and opportunities both local and abroad.

Christmas brings
with it a certain bustle that seems to hover in the air of St Patrick’s
corridors along with the tinsels and the quivering fairy lights of the
Christmas tree. There is always so much to prepare for. And as it should be,
our first thoughts turned to others as we embarked on fund-raising activities
in order to make our little contribution towards the Community Chest Fund.
Although a charitable institution itself, St Patrick’s knows full-well that
there is greater pleasure in giving than in receiving.

HDS Live-in Form 4 was held from the 29th November - 1st December 2011 at Savio College. It was a great two days in which the 27 students participated in all the activities organised by the Salesian animators.

HDS Live-in Form 5 was held from the 21st -23rd November 2011 at Savio College. It was a great two days in which the 31 students participated in all the activities organised by the Salesian animators.

For the third consecutive year the Kummissjoni Festa Esterna Fgura (a group who organize the village feast in Fgura) invited SPYS to lead one of the sessions during their annual live in. The live in took place at Savio College, Dingli.

The session was held on Saturday 19th November. This year's session focused on communication and through games and simulations the group was given the opportunity to put their communication skills into practice. The session was concluded with a small discussion where the group discussed on how they can apply what they have learnt from the activity in their daily lives.

Vienna, Austria (17th - 20th November)

Ghana, Ethiopia, Mexico, Bulgaria, Russia, Belgium, Poland, Holland, India, Sudan and more were all visited by different youths, and now all these youths met in Vienna. More than 20 youths from all around Europe spent 3 days in Vienna and had the most inspirational, motivating and fun weekend.

Between the 11th and 13th of November, SPYS organized a weekend seminar at Savio College in Dingli with the theme Touching Lives Through Sport.
