St Patricks - Church
St. Patrick's Church, a Roman Catholic Church, is within the Parish of 'St. Gregory the Great' in Sliema. It is administered by the Salesian Fathers who are also responsible for the 'St. Patrick's School' for boys. The Church has been giving a liturgical and sacramental service ever since its opening in 1905+. All services are in English.
Pastoral Activities at St. Patrick's Church
Daily Masses are celebrated at 7.30 a.m. and 9.00 a.m.
Sundays/Days of Obligation Masses at 8.00, 9.00 10.15 a.m. and 6.00 and 7.30 p.m.
The Sacrament of Baptism is administered to adults who are foreigners, and to children whose parents are foreigners.
Catechism classes are held to prepare English-speaking children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Marriages are often celebrated in the Chapel.
Special Masses (anniversaries, family reunions, special groups, etc.) may be celebrated by previous agreement with the Chaplain.
An Adults' Choir animates the Sunday 10.15 a.m. Mass and the Services during Feasts and Solemn occasions. It rehearses on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8.00 p.m. Those interested may phone: 2133 5936.
There is also 'PEPPRIN', a Children's Choir for those aged 7 to 15 years. It sings at Mass on the third Sunday of the month, gives a Christmas and End-of-year Concert, has singing lessons, etc. It rehearses on Thursdays from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m. Children are welcome and they may phone 2131 7548 or 9945 4637.
An annual procession to commemorate the Feast of Mary Help of Christians is held on the 4th Sunday of the month of May.
Schedule of Services
Monday to Saturday: 7.30 and 9.00 a.m. - Sundays/Days of Obligation: 8.00, 9.00, 10.15 a.m. and 6.00 and 7.30 p.m.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Holy Mass on the First Friday of the Month at 6.15 p.m.
Recitation of the Rosary and Holy Mass are held on the 24th of each month, and on Mondays to Fridays during May and October at 6.30 p.m.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated every Saturday from 5.30 to 7.00 p.m.
