To-day is Good Friday a public holiday and a very important day for the Maltese. Being Christians we are reminded of  the suffering – physical, spiritual, and mental – of Jesus in the hours prior to and including his trial and execution by crucifixion. 

We will be going to the town of Qormi which is located southwest of Valletta in the center of Malta. The town is known for its Good Friday procession from the church of Saint George which features over 500 participants, Participation in the procession is traditional in many of the town's families.
