Daughters of Mary Help of Christians


The Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, as they are popularly called, is a Religious Family born of the heart of St. John Bosco and the creative fidelity of St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello.
The story of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians begins with a group of young women, one of whom was St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello, who eventually became the Mother General of the New Congregation founded by St. John Bosco. 1872 was the year of the first profession of fifteen young women. The aim of the Congregation is to work with young girls, particularly with the poor and disadvantaged.

SYM comprises groups and associations which accept the Salesian spirituality and pedagogy. While remaining autonomous in organisational and operational terms, they guarantee a high quality educational presence in the new forms of socialisation of young people, animating them to have a meaningful experience of Church life.

Volontarie Don Bosco & Volontari Con Don Bosco


The Don Bosco Volunteers are lay men (CDBs) and women (VDBs) who seek to live their everyday life with optimism and loving kindness, according to the spirit of Don Bosco. In response to the Lord’s call, they are consecrated, that is, they profess the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience.
